An urban geofiction project by Christoph Sank (Dusseldorf, Germany).
Newburg’s structure is based on the “European model”, but its location is not defined. The names of streets, places and stations are given in either French, German or English, so it could be situated at the European continent as well as in New England at the east coast of North America. The way of drawing is very interesting and unique. It shows more details than a normal city map (in some places you can even see the roof forms), but with an enlarged presentation of elements like streets and buildings. The form of the city is quite traditional: an old town surrounded by a belt of Wilhelminian style quarters, located at a river that meanders through the city and flows into the ocean.
